Automatic Transaxle: Removal

- Remove the battery terminal and the battery.
- Removal the air cleaner.
- Remove the transaxle range switch connector.
- Remove the solenoid valve connector and the oil temperature sensor connector.
- Remove the cotter pin of the control cable.
- Remove the oil filler tube.
- Remove the clip of the control cable.
- Remove the oil cooler hose.
- Remove the speedometer driven gear connector, (speed sensor connector)
- Remove the u-joint.
- Remove the power steering return hose.
- Remove the tire.
- Remove the starter motor.
- Remove the bolt for the upper connection of the engine and the transaxle.
- Remove the caliper after lifting up the vehicle.
- Separate the tie rod end from the pin and nut.
- Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil.
- Remove the transaxle side cover.
- Remove the wheel speed sensor and the knuckle mounting bolt.
- Remove the drive shaft and the left side hub nut.
- Install the special tool, the engine support fixture on the engine assembly.
- Remove the transaxle mounting bracket after removing the hole cover and the mounting bolts.
- Remove the front roll stopper.
- Remove the rear roll stopper.
- Remove the front muffler.
- Remove the bell housing cover. (Bolts: 5EA)
- Remove the torque converter mounting plate bolts (3EA).
- Remove the cylinder block plate bolt.
- Install the jack for supporting transaxle.
- Remove the lower mounting bolts (2EA) of the transaxle.
- Remove the sub frame.
- Remove the transaxle.
