Idle Speed

NOTE: Before adjusting, check that the spark plugs, injectors, idle speed control actuator (ISC actuator), compression etc. are normal.
  1. Install a tachometer to the primary coil side or connect the scan tool to the data link connector.
  2. Start and run the engine at curb idle speed.
  3. Run the engine for more than 5 seconds at an engine speed of 2,000 to 3,000 RPM. Then, run the engine at idle for 2 minutes.
  4. Read the idling RPM.

Idle speed 

SOHC: 800 +/- 100 RPM

DOHC: 800 +/- 100 RPM
