Radiator Cap: Inspection

  1. Check the radiator cap for damage, cracks and deterioration.

  2. Attach a radiator cap tester to the radiator
  3. Pump the tester until the pointer stabilizes.
  4. If the pointer stays constant for 10 sec. at a point exceeding the service limit, the radiator cap is good.
