Hazard Warning Switch

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove hazard switch. Disconnect hazard switch harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check switch continuity in specified switch position, between indicated switch terminals. See Fig 1 . See HAZARD WARNING SWITCH TEST  table. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.

Switch Position (1) Check Continuity Between Terminals No.
Off 2 & 3; 5 & 8
On 2 & 3; 6, 9 & 10; 7 & 8
(1) Switch terminals No. 2 and 3 are for illumination circuit. Continuity should exist in all switch positions.
