Park/Neutral Position Switch

NOTE: When installing and adjusting transaxle range switch, ensure switch "O" ring is not dislodged.
  1. Set transaxle selector lever to Neutral. Loosen retaining nut, but do not remove transaxle shift control cable from manual control lever. Ensure manual control lever is still in Neutral.
  2. Loosen, but do not remove transaxle range switch mounting bolts. Turn transaxle range switch until alignment hole in the end of manual control lever is aligned with hole in transaxle range switch body flange. See Fig 1 .
  3. Tighten transaxle range switch body mounting bolts to 89-106 INCH lbs. (10-12 N.m). Ensure switch body position does not change.
  4. Gently pull transaxle shift control cable away from manual control lever. Tighten control lever coupling nut to 115 INCH lbs. (13 N.m). Ensure selector lever is in Neutral. Ensure each range on transaxle operates and functions correctly for each selector lever position.
