Park/Neutral Position Switch
NOTE:
When installing and adjusting transaxle range switch, ensure switch "O" ring is not dislodged.
- Apply parking brake. Place gear selector in Neutral. Disconnect shift cable from transaxle range switch. Ensure manual control lever is still in Neutral.
- Loosen transaxle range switch attaching bolts. Rotate park/neutral position switch until manual control lever and switch flange tab align. See Fig 1 . Tighten park/neutral position switch bolts to 89-106 INCH lbs. (10-12 N.m).
- Install shift cable. Ensure starter will only engage when gear selector is in Park or Neutral, and gear selector shifts smoothly through all gears.
