Park/Neutral Position Switch

NOTE: When installing and adjusting transaxle range switch, ensure switch "O" ring is not dislodged.
  1. Apply parking brake. Place gear selector in Neutral. Disconnect shift cable from transaxle range switch. Ensure manual control lever is still in Neutral.
  2. Loosen transaxle range switch attaching bolts. Rotate park/neutral position switch until manual control lever and switch flange tab align. See Fig 1 . Tighten park/neutral position switch bolts to 89-106 INCH lbs. (10-12 N.m).
  3. Install shift cable. Ensure starter will only engage when gear selector is in Park or Neutral, and gear selector shifts smoothly through all gears.
