Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor

The CMP sensor senses the TDC point of cylinder No. 1 in its compression stroke. This signal is fed to the ECM to determine fuel injector sequence starting point. See CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR LOCATIONS  table.
