Description & Operation

The charging system includes a battery, a generator with a built-in electronic voltage regulator, and a charge indicator light. Generators contain 6 diodes (8 diodes on Tiburon), which are used to rectify current. Charging voltage of generators is regulated by battery voltage detection system. Main components of generators include voltage regulator (built into brush holder), rotor, stator, rectifier assembly, capacitor, brushes, bearings, and drive belt pulley.
