Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

The ECT sensor is located on thermostat housing. The ECT sensor is a thermistor whose resistance decreases as engine coolant temperature increases. The ECM uses ECT sensor information for controlling fuel enrichment when engine is cold.
