Park/Neutral Position Switch Test (A/T)

Disconnect park/neutral position (transmission range) switch harness connector. Check continuity between specified terminals with transmission in specified position. See PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH CONTINUITY  table. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 . Continuity should only exist when transmission is in Park or Neutral. If continuity is not as specified, check park/neutral position switch adjustment. See PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (A/T)  under ADJUSTMENTS. If park/neutral position switch is properly adjusted, replace park/neutral position switch.
