Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is located on thermostat housing. ECT sensor is a thermistor whose resistance decreases as engine coolant temperature increases. ECM uses ECT sensor information for controlling fuel enrichment when engine is cold.
