Park/Neutral Position Switch Test (A/T)
NOTE:
Park/neutral position switch may also be referred to as transmission range switch.
Disconnect park/neutral position switch harness connector. Check continuity between specified terminals with transmission in specified position. See PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH CONTINUITY table. See Fig 1 . Continuity should only exist when transmission is in Park or Neutral. If continuity is not as specified, check park/neutral position switch adjustment. See PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (A/T) under ADJUSTMENTS. If park/neutral position switch is properly adjusted, replace park/neutral position switch.
