Power Window Switches

NOTE: Main switch assembly is located on driver's door. Sub-switch is mounted at each passenger's door.

Remove power window switch to be tested. Check continuity in each switch position, between indicated switch terminals. See appropriate table. SeeFig 1 for sub-switch terminals. Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.

POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH TEST

Switch Position Continuity Between Terminals
Left Front
Up YEL/RED & BLU/WHT; BLK & BRN
Neutral BLK, BRN & BLU/WHT
Down YEL/RED & BRN; BLK & BLU/WHT
Right Front
Up YEL/RED & RED/BLK; BLK & RED
Neutral BLK, RED/BLK & RED
Down YEL/RED & RED; BLK & RED/BLK
Left Rear
Up (1) YEL/RED & RED/BRN; BLK & RED/BLU
Neutral BLK, RED/BRN & RED/BLU
Down (2) YEL/RED & RED/BLU; BLK & RED/BRN
Right Rear
Up YEL/RED & BLU/BLK; BLK & RED/GRN
Neutral BLK, BLU/BLK & RED/GRN
Down YEL/RED & RED/GRN; BLK & BLU/BLK
Lock Switch
Lock None
Unlock YEL/RED & BLU/RED
(1) On 1995 models, there should be continuity between Yellow/Red wire and Red/Blue wire terminals, and between Black wire and Red/Brown wire terminals.
(2) On 1995 models, there should be continuity between Yellow/Red wire and Red/Brown wire terminals, and between Black wire and Red/Blue wire terminals.
