Starter Relay Test

  1. Remove relay. Check continuity between relay terminals No. 1 and 3, and between terminals No. 2 and 4. See Figure . Ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 3. Continuity should not exist between terminals No. 2 and 4.
  2. Apply battery voltage between terminals No. 1 and 3. Ensure continuity now exists between terminals No. 2 and 4. Replace relay if continuity is not as specified.
