Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

The ECT sensor is a thermistor whose resistance decreases as coolant temperature increases. The ECM uses coolant temperature information for controlling fuel enrichment when engine is cold. ECT sensor is located on thermostat housing.
