Code 2121 - Turbo Boost Control Valve Malfunction
- Inspect control valve harness connection. Clean and repair as needed. Ensure vacuum hoses are in good condition.
- Turn ignition off. Unplug connector from wastegate control solenoid connector. Turn ignition on. Test for battery voltage between harness connector terminal No. 1 (Green/White wire) and ground. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair Green/White wire or repair power supply circuit. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS section.
- Turn ignition off. Unplug ECM connector. Test for continuity between control valve terminal No. 2 (Blue/Green wire) and PCM connector terminal No. 21. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, inspect and repair circuit as needed.
- Test each terminal at control valve harness connector for short to ground or to another wire. If wires are okay, go to next step. Repair as necessary.
- Measure resistance between control solenoid valve terminals. If resistance is not approximately 30 ohms, replace control solenoid valve. If solenoid valve is okay, temporarily substitute known good ECM, then retest system.
