Hazard Warning Switch

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove hazard switch from center trim panel. Disconnect hazard switch harness connector. Using ohmmeter, check continuity in each switch position, between indicated switch terminals. See HAZARD WARNING SWITCH TEST  . SeeFig 1 . Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.

HAZARD WARNING SWITCH TEST

Switch Position (1) Continuity Between Terminal
Off 1 & 5; 3 & 9
On 1 & 5; 2, 6, 7 & 8; 4 & 9
(1) Terminals No. 1 and 5 are for illumination circuit and should always have continuity.
