Removal & Installation

  1. HO2S sensor is mounted in exhaust pipe in front of catalytic converter. Rear sensor is between converter and muffler. HO2S sensor has a permanent pigtail which must be protected from damage when removing sensor. Ensure sensor is free of contaminants. DO NOT use any cleaning solvents.
  2. Ensure exhaust system is cool before removing HO2S sensor, or thread damage may occur. Disconnect negative battery cable and HO2S sensor connector. Remove HO2S sensor.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Apply anti-seize compound to HO2S sensor threads. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. Install negative battery cable.
