Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Installation

1. Ensure front wheels are in straight ahead position. Align mating mark and NEUTRAL position indicator of clockspring. See Fig 1 . Install clockspring onto steering column. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Torque steering wheel nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table.
2. Reactivate air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Check AIR BAG indicator light to ensure system is functioning properly. See AIR BAG SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
