Tie Rod Assembly: Inspection
- Inspect ball joints for pitting or wear. Check for damaged or deformed tie rod. Check boots for cracks or cuts.
- Check ball stud starting torque. Starting torque should be 17-43 INCH lbs. (2-5 N.m). If not, replace tie rod end.
