Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel pressure regulator, located on fuel delivery pipe, maintains a constant pressure at the injectors throughout all engine operating conditions. Fuel flows from top of fuel injectors to pressure regulator. Regulator is a diaphragm-operated relief valve with pressure applied by intake manifold vacuum. If this pressure becomes less than fuel pressure, valve opens causing excess fuel to return to the fuel tank by return lines.
