Testing Front Wiper Motor

  1. Remove connector from wiper motor. Attach jumper lead from battery positive to terminal No. 5 of wiper motor connector. Attach jumper from battery negative to terminal No. 3 of wiper motor connector. Ensure wiper motor runs at low speed. See Fig 1 .

  2. Attach jumper lead from battery positive to terminal No. 6 of wiper motor connector. Attach jumper from battery negative to terminal No. 3 of wiper motor connector. Ensure wiper motor runs at high speed. If motor fails to operate, replace motor. See Fig 1 .
  3. Reconnect wiper motor connector and operate motor at low speed. Stop motor anywhere except in park position by disconnection motor connector. Attach jumper lead between terminals No. 2 and No. 5.
  4. Attach jumper lead from battery positive to terminal No. 1 of wiper motor connector. Attach jumper from battery negative to terminal No. 3 of wiper motor connector. Ensure wiper motor stops running in correct park position. If motor fails to stop in correct position, replace wiper motor. See Fig 1 .
