Feedback Carburetor (FBC) System

Consists of an Electronic Control Unit (ECU), 2-barrel downdraft carburetor and various sensors. The ECU utilizes signals from the sensors to control air/fuel ratio.

Feedback system does not operate during engine starting, warm-up, heavy load or deceleration. Air/fuel ratio is controlled by predetermined values for engine speed, throttle valve angle and coolant temperature.

After engine warm-up, air/fuel ratio is determined by the oxygen sensor signal to the ECU. The ECU controls air/fuel ratio through the Feedback Solenoid Valve (FBSV) and Slow-Cut Solenoid Valve (SCSV).
