Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LLV, LLR)  or Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement (LH9) .
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Fig 1: View Of Radiator Hose Clamps

  4. Using J 38185  reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) from the radiator. See Special Tools .
  5. Remove the outlet radiator hose (1) from the radiator.

  7. Remove the transmission cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Remove the radiator vent inlet hose from the radiator.
  10. Remove the radiator mounting bracket bolt.
  11. Remove the radiator mount.
  12. Remove the grill.
  13. Remove the condenser mounting bolts.
  14. Separate the condenser from the radiator.
  15. Remove the radiator.
