Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 GMC Canyon and 2010 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
- Test for less than 5 ohms of resistance between the ground circuit terminals listed below and ground.
- Terminal 16
- Terminal 29
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between the Pump Motor supply voltage circuit terminal 1 and ground.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal and the B+ circuit ABS 2 fuse is open test or replace the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV).
- Connect the harness connector at the EBCM.
- Ignition ON, use the scan tool to perform the ABS Motor test.
- If the motor test failed, replace the EBCM.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the BPMV.
