Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 GMC Canyon and 2010 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Apply a light coating of high temperature, silicone brake lubricant to the brake caliper guide pins.

  3. Install the upper brake caliper guide pin (1) and the upper brake caliper guide pin seal (2).
  4. NOTE: The lower brake caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and must be installed in the same location as removed.
  5. Install the lower brake caliper guide pin (3) and the lower brake caliper guide pin seal (4).
  6. Position the brake caliper to the brake caliper bracket.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  8. Install the brake caliper guide pin bolts (1) and tighten to 64 N.m (47 lb ft).
  9. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
