Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission support to the frame.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
    NOTE: Ensure that the transmission support fasteners do not overlap before and after final tightening.
  2. Install the bolts and the nuts in order to retain the transmission support to the frame.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 95 N.m (70 lb ft).

  3. Lower the transmission.

  4. Align the transmission mount with the transmission support.
  5. Install the nuts to the transmission mount.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  6. Remove the stand or jack.
  7. Install the transfer case shield. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement .
  8. Install the catalytic converter guard. Refer to Catalytic Converter Guard Replacement .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
