Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the brake caliper from the mounting bracket. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement .
  2. Fig 2: Supporting Brake Caliper

  3. Relocate brake caliper and support.

  5. Remove the outboard brake pad from the mounting bracket.

  7. Remove the inboard brake pad from the mounting bracket.

  9. Remove guide pins from mounting bracket.

  11. Remove the guide pin seal from the mounting bracket.

  13. Remove the brake pads shims from the mounting bracket.
  14. Clean the brake caliper mounting bracket with denatured alcohol.
  15. Dry the brake caliper mounting bracket using non-lubricated, filtered air.
