Installation Procedure

  1. Position the wheel bearing/hub on the brake rotor.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
    IMPORTANT: The following service procedure is to be performed on a flat surface and to ensure the brake rotor is securely attached to the hub assembly prior to the final torquing procedure. DO NOT use air tools of any type for this procedure.
  3. Install the wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts.

    Tighten: 

    1. Tighten the mounting bolts in a criss-cross pattern to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
    2. Tighten again in a criss-cross pattern to 110 N.m (81 lb ft).

  5. Install the wheel bearing/hub, brake rotor assembly in the steering knuckle. Refer to Wheel Hub/Speed Sensor Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Inspect the fluid level. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling .
  9. Burnish the brakes. Refer to Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing .
