Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Isuzu i-370, 2008 Isuzu i-290, 2008 GMC Canyon, and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Right Turn Indicator Circuit Test
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the IPC.
- Verify that a test lamp illuminates when connected from battery voltage to the ground circuit terminal 4.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal 7 and the ground circuit terminal 4.
- Ignition ON, operate the right turn signal and verify that the test lamp flashes.
- If the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the IPC.
