Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Isuzu i-370, 2008 Isuzu i-290, 2008 GMC Canyon, and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    IMPORTANT: Do NOT swap digital radio receivers between vehicles. Swapping digital receivers between vehicles will activate the digital radio Theftlock®, and "XM Theftlock®" will display.
  1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement .

  3. Unfold the service panel located above the I/P compartment door.

  5. Remove the I/P access cover.

  7. Remove the screws retaining the digital radio receiver to the I/P structure.

  9. Lower the receiver from the I/P.
  10. IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to pry or slide the electrical connector release lever (1).

  11. Disconnect the electrical connector by pushing on the release lever (1).

  13. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (2) from the electrical connector.
  14. Remove the connector from the receiver.
  15. Remove the receiver from the vehicle.

  17. If replacing the receiver, remove the nuts retaining the receiver to the mounting bracket.
  18. Remove the receiver from the mounting bracket.
