Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Isuzu i-370, 2008 Isuzu i-290, 2008 GMC Canyon, and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. If the vehicle is equipped with OnStar® refer to Mobile Telephone and Navigation Antenna Coaxial Cable Replacement (UE1)  or Mobile Telephone and Navigation Antenna Coaxial Cable Replacement (UE1, U2K) .
  2. Lower the front portion of the headliner to reveal the digital radio antenna connectors. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Crew Cab) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Extended Cab) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Regular Cab) .

  4. Disconnect the digital radio antenna connectors (1).
  5. Detach the 2 upper coax cable retainers from the header panel.
  6. Detach the 3 coax cable retainers from the windshield pillar.
  7. Lower the instrument panel (I/P) compartment door to a full down position.

  9. Disconnect the digital receiver extension cable (1) from the receiver.
  10. Remove the retainers (2) from the I/P.
  11. Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
  12. Remove the extension cable from the vehicle.

  14. Detach the coax cable retainer (3) from the I/P.
  15. Attach a mechanics wire to the end of the coax cable (2).
  16. Detach the coax cable retainer (4) from the hinge pillar.
  17. Grasp the cable (1) and pull upward to release the retainer from the hinge pillar.
  18. Pull upward to remove the cable from behind the I/P.
  19. Remove the cable from the vehicle leaving the mechanics wire behind the I/P.
