Preliminary Procedures Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Remove the lower steering column trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
1	Ignition/Start Switch Electrical Connector
2	Ignition/Start Switch Bolt (Qty: 2) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tighten: 0.74 N.m (7 lb in)
3	Ignition/Start Switch Procedure: Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the run position prior to removing the ignition/start switch.
