Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

  3. Remove the brake hose from the brake caliper.

    IMPORTANT: When removing the brake hose bolt from the brake caliper, ensure that the copper gaskets are not stuck to the brake caliper or the brake hose.
  5. Remove the copper gaskets from the brake hose and bolt.
  6. Discard the copper gaskets. DO NOT reuse them, replace with NEW copper gaskets.
  7. Using a rubber plug or equivalent, plug the end of the brake hose to prevent excessive brake fluid loss and contamination.

  9. Remove the brake caliper slide pin bolts.

  11. Remove the brake caliper from the mounting bracket.
