Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac STS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The lateral accelerometer and the yaw rate sensors are combined into one sensor. The sensors communicate through the serial data network to the Supervisory Control Module along with other control modules to perform stability control. The vehicle stability enhancement system (StabiliTrak 3.0) uses the lateral accelerometer input when calculating the desired yaw rate.
