Circuit/System Testing

IMPORTANT: Allow the Active Front Steering system to cool down before performing this test.
  1. With a scan tool, clear the DTC.
  2. With a scan tool connected, test drive the vehicle under normal driving conditions. Verify DTC C0176 does not reset.
    • If the DTC C0176 resets, replace the active front steering control module, test the variable effort steering actuator supply voltage circuit for short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
