Installation Procedure

Install the motor to the shroud.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the cooling fan motor retaining screws (1) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

Install the fan blade to the motor shaft.
Rotate the fan until the fan drops onto the shaft.

Install the fan blade retaining nut (1) to the motor and tighten to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
Install the cooling fan assembly. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LY7) or Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LH2 Heavy Duty Cooling) or Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LH2 Standard Cooling) .
