Installation Procedure

  1. Position the wheel bearing/hub on the brake rotor.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the mounting bolts in a criss-cross pattern to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

    IMPORTANT: The following service procedure is for 4WD vehicles only.
  5. Install the steering knuckle assembly. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement (2WD) or Steering Knuckle Replacement (4WD) in Front Suspension.

  7. Install the wheel bearing/hub, brake rotor assembly in the steering knuckle. Refer to Wheel Hub/Speed Sensor Replacement in Front Suspension.
  8. Lower the vehicle.

  10. Inspect the fluid level. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling in Hydraulic Brakes.
  11. Burnish the brakes. Refer to Burnishing Pads and Rotors .
