Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 GMC Canyon and 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Position the wheel bearing/hub on the brake rotor.
- Install the wheel bearing/hub mounting bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the mounting bolts in a criss-cross pattern to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
- Install the steering knuckle assembly. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement (2WD) or Steering Knuckle Replacement (4WD) in Front Suspension.
- Install the wheel bearing/hub, brake rotor assembly in the steering knuckle. Refer to Wheel Hub/Speed Sensor Replacement in Front Suspension.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Inspect the fluid level. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling in Hydraulic Brakes.
- Burnish the brakes. Refer to Burnishing Pads and Rotors .
