Installation Procedure

  1. Position the brake caliper assembly on the mounting bracket.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the guide pin bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the guide pin bolts to 40 N.m (29 lb ft).

  4. Remove the rubber plugs from the brake hose.

  6. Install the NEW copper gaskets and bolt on the brake hose.

  8. Install the brake hose on the brake caliper.

    Tighten:  Tighten the brake hose bolt to 40 N.m (29 lb ft).

  9. Bleed the system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) in Hydraulic Brakes.

  11. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  12. Lower the vehicle.
