Installation Procedure

  1. Align the pickup box on the frame rails.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Loosely install the pickup box fasteners (1) to the frame rails.

    Tighten:  Tighten the retaining bolts to the frame rail to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).

  3. Install the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement  .

  4. Fasten the screws and the push-pin around the fuel filler neck.
  5. Close the fuel filler door.
  6. Install the tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Assembly and/or Backup, Sidemarker, Stop, Turn Signal Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  7. Connect the tail lamp wiring connectors at the rear of the vehicle.
