Circuit/System Verification

Ignition ON, valet switch OFF (if equipped). Press each button of the GDO one at a time. The LED on the GDO should illuminate with each button press.
- If none of the buttons results in an LED illuminating, refer to Circuit/System Testing .
Hold the two outer buttons on the GDO for 30 seconds. Place the J 41540 Universal Home Remote tester adjacent to the GDO and press each button of the GDO one at a time. The tester should indicate when each button is pressed.
- If the tester indicates that one or more of the buttons does not respond, replace the GDO.
Program the GDO with the customers remote. Refer to Garage Door Opener Programming - Universal (One LED) or Garage Door Opener Programming - Universal (Three LEDs) .
