Assembly Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 GMC Canyon and 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the fuel tank module into the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Module Replacement .
  2. Fig 1: View Of Fuel Tank Module, Fuel Pipes, & EVAP Pipes

  3. Secure the EVAP pipe (5) to the retaining features molded into the fuel tank.
  4. Secure the following to the retaining clips (1):
    • The fuel return pipe (6)
    • The fuel feed pipe (7)
  5. Connect the EVAP pipes (3, 5) to the vent valve (4). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  6. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar)  in order to connect the following to the fuel tank module (2):
    • The EVAP pipe (5)
    • The fuel return pipe (6)
    • The fuel feed pipe (7)
  7. Install the fuel filter. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement .
