Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.
    NOTE: Notice: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the shear bolt into the ignition switch and lock housing assembly.
  3. Install the multifunction turn signal switch housing. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Switch Housing Replacement  .
  4. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Case Replacement 
  5. The passlock sensor is part of the ignition switch. If replacing the switch, a relearn is needed. Reprogram the theft deterrent system. Refer to PROGRAMMING THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM COMPONENTS in Theft Deterrent.
  6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR DISABLING AND ENABLING in SIR.
