Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear brackets to the sunroof module.
    2. Fig 1: Sunroof Module Assembly

  2. Install the sunroof module assembly to the vehicle.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the retaining bolts to the sunroof module.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Install the retaining nuts to the sunroof module rear brackets.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Install the rear drain hoses. Refer to Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement (SUT)  or Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement (SUV) .
  6. Install the front drain hoses. Refer to Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose Replacement 
  7. Synchronize the sunroof motor and module assembly. Refer to Sunroof Track Timing/Synchronization .
  8. Install the sunroof glass panel. Refer to Sunroof Glass Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the sunroof sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement .
  10. Verify proper operation of the sunroof.
  11. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUV) or Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (SUT) in Interior Trim.
  12. Install the sunroof finishing lace. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement .
