Removal Procedure

- Drain the cooling system to a level below the sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (with HP2) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (without HP2) in Engine Cooling.
- Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector (5).
- Remove the ECT sensor.

NOTE:
Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
