Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT:
Do not use the old cap, CMP sensor, and rotor screws. Use the replacement screws that have been coated with a threadlock compound.
- Insert the CMP sensor in the reluctor wheel slot.
- Install NEW CMP screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2.2 N.m (19 lb in).
- Install the rotor.
- Install NEW rotor screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
- Install the distributor cap.
- Install NEW distributor cap screws.
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 2.4 N.m (21 lb in).
- Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector (2).
- Connect the spark plug wires and ignition coil wire to the distributor.
