Installation Procedure

Position the radiator behind the condenser.

Important: Care should be taken when installing the condenser not to damage the lower attachment points of both the radiator and condenser.
Position the condenser, aligning the lower feet to the lower mounting features located at the front of the radiator.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .

NOTE: The bolt retaining the condenser to the radiator end tank is a special length and should be the ONLY bolt used upon reinstallation. The use of a longer bolt will damage the radiator end tank.
Install the condenser mounting bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the bolts to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
Install the headlamps. Refer to HEADLAMP REPLACEMENT in Lighting Systems.
Install the upper radiator seal.

Important: Ensure the lower transaxle oil cooler line is positioned upwards while tightening.
Connect the lower transaxle oil cooler line into the radiator.
Tighten

Tighten the line to 31 N.m (23 lb ft).

Connect the outlet radiator hose to the radiator.

Using the J 37097-A to reposition the clamp.
Install the cooling fans. Refer to COOLING FAN REPLACEMENT - ELECTRIC (LX5) or COOLING FAN REPLACEMENT - ELECTRIC (L47) .
