Removal and Installation

NOTICE:
- Refer to the Fuel and Emissions Systems Service Precautions before doing the procedure.
- When replacing the fuel injector, always replace all three injectors on the same bank as a set and the fuel joint pipe. Failure to do so will cause poor engine performance and fuel leaks.
NOTE:

- If you reuse the injector after removal, note the cylinder number and install it to the same cylinder.

- Fuel Pressure - Relieve - Refer to: Fuel Pressure Relieving () or Fuel Pressure Test ()
- 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
- Air Cleaner Area Parts - Remove
- Air Cleaner Area

- Air Cleaner Housing
- Intake Manifold Area Parts - Remove
- Intake Manifold Area

- Intake Manifold Base
- High Pressure Fuel Pump Cover
- Fuel Joint Pipe
- Fuel Rail Cover
- Connector - Disconnect
- Injector Connector
- Fuel Pressure Sensor Connector
- Fuel Rail/Injector - Remove
- All Removed Parts - Install
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
- 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Reconnect
- Fuel Leak - Check (High Pressure Side)
