How to Enter Neutral Position Holding Mode: Procedure

NOTE: 

• This function is automatically canceled about 15 minutes after entering the neutral position holding mode while the engine is stopped.
• When the negative terminal of the 12 volt battery is disconnected, the neutral position holding mode is canceled and the vehicle is shifted into the P position/mode.

1. Neutral Position Holding Mode - Enter

   Preconditions 

   • Vehicle on Level Ground
   • All Four Wheels Blocked

   Procedure 

   1. Start the engine.

   2. Shift the transmission to N position/mode while pressing the brake pedal.

   3. Press and hold the N button again for 2 seconds.

   4. Confirm that the message "Neutral hold mode ON" is indicated on the gauge control module.

   5. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
