Preconditions
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected
Sub-Procedure

Installation

NOTE: Before installing the center pillar lower trim, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.

After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

Installation

After inspecting the rear pillar trim, then install the rear pillar trim.

NOTE: If you are replacing the second row seat belt after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: Airbag and Tensioner Disposal () or SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment () for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.

Preconditions
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected
After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
- Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

- Wait at least 3 minutes, after disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal.
NOTICE:
- If you are replacing the side impact sensor (second) after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: Airbag and Tensioner Disposal () or SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment () for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.
- Be careful not to bump (by impact wrench, hammer, etc.) the area around the side impact sensor.
